And I’m holding it in my hands. It’s real. And I’m fairly sure I’m awake.

Funny thing is, I never even played the original Duke Nukem games, so I’m not even that excited about playing it. I won’t feel much nostalgia for it. But, it’s been in development for 14 years, has had multiple game studios work on it, caused an untold amount of fuss and hype over the years, and is simply one of the longest-running jokes on the ‘net, I couldn’t not be a part of it.

Early impressions of the game itself are crap, according to numerous people.

I’m sure the sequel will be better.

Review – Cult of the Lamb

I recently played through Cult of the Lamb, a satirical take on the concept of running a demonic cult. It turns horrific things like sacrificial rituals, cannibalism and straight up gaslighting abuse into hilarious amusements by filtering everything through its cartoonish lens. You are a sheep, after all, and all your followers are sycophantic anthropomorphic […]

Hello, world! This post marks the moment in time and space when BangClickReload got a little redesign and was dragged kicking and screaming into the 21st century. Every post before this point is rather old and might not look right, and unless I decide to go through them all to fix them, they’re going to […]

Bioshock Infinite – New E3 Trailer

I’d never have expected the sequel to the dark, moody underwater adventure to be compared to a circus, yet that’s exactly what it looks like from this new gameplay footage. Bioshock Infinite couldn’t look further from its predecessor right now, but it looks like gloriously silly fun. Still a long wait for this, as its not due out until 2012.

Trine 2 – More giant toads and rainbows

Trine was a 2D yet 3D platform puzzler, in which you controlled 3 different characters each with unique skills, as they fight/swing/levitate their way across a traditional fantasy world. It was really charming, had simply gorgeous visuals and had some really clever little physics-based puzzles. I was sold on it from the demo, but I went and bought it from Steam as soon as it was out and played through it both by myself, and with my 10 year old cousin in the local co-op feature (I was on the keyboard, while she used a 360 gamepad). The only thing it was lacking was online co-op, which the game would have benefited hugely from. Apparently, Trine 2 will have such a feature, and its going to be great.

    Halo Reach incoming…

Ever heard of Halo? Yeah, they’ve made a new one. It’s quite good apparantly. All the TV adverts are hideously pretentious and rubbish so here’s an old trailer which came out ages ago instead. Paul and I will probably get this and play the co-op which has always been the best feature of this massively-overrated franchise. It’s out tomorrow.
