“We regret to inform you that your son has been eaten by dinosaurs in the line of duty.” Dino D-Day is out, and I’ve just been playing it. Pitching the Allies vs Nazi dinosaurs in a WW2 setting is pretty fun, it seems. It would be unfair to judge the game on the mere 40 minutes I spent checking it out, so take a look at some amusing screenshots I gathered below.

That's me lying injured on the floor while 2 Dilophosaurs argue over who gets to eat me.

Dead rabbits distract raptors, who can't resist the fresh meal.

Raptor-o-vision.

"I'M GONNA EAT YOUR FACE!!!"

This guy lobbed a dead goat at me, but my pistol showed him who's boss.

Then his friend ate me anyway...

Review – Cult of the Lamb

I recently played through Cult of the Lamb, a satirical take on the concept of running a demonic cult. It turns horrific things like sacrificial rituals, cannibalism and straight up gaslighting abuse into hilarious amusements by filtering everything through its cartoonish lens. You are a sheep, after all, and all your followers are sycophantic anthropomorphic […]

Hello, world! This post marks the moment in time and space when BangClickReload got a little redesign and was dragged kicking and screaming into the 21st century. Every post before this point is rather old and might not look right, and unless I decide to go through them all to fix them, they’re going to […]

Holy mother of shitting crikey that was horrible. Paul and I just played through the demo of Amnesia: The Dark Descent, and it has to be the scariest demo I’ve ever played, and quite honestly I don’t know HOW I managed to finish it. It’s by the maker’s of Penumbra, but its undoubtedly better… Major demo spoilers below, but go play it for yourself right now.

To this day, the N64 holds my fondest gaming memories on a console. The PC may have stolen my heart eventually, but I’ll never forget the fun of my childhood, playing multiplayer games on my N64 with a bunch of mates after school, and during sleepovers.

Cyborg Day – Boy gets a Robot Hand

    Matt Clarke

    August 26, 2011

In other cyborg-related news, a boy from Berkshire, England who was born without his left hand has been granted an actual bionic hand, thanks to a £35k sponsorship from Mercedes. It has nerve inputs which means he can control it with his own muscles, and actually manipulate objects. It looks just like something out of Deus Ex. And what does he do with one of the most technologically advanced prosthetic hands, of which less than one hundred exist the entire world? Plays videogames, of course. Check out the video of it here, its a ridiculously impressive piece of engineering.
