It’s been 4 years since Crysis, the PC exclusive beast which became the graphical benchmark for all modern shooters. For a while we were waiting in anticipation of what Crytek’s next game would look like, expecting another leap forward in graphical deliciousness. Crysis 2 is now only a month away from release, and though it doesn’t appear to be as great a leap forward in the visual department as we expected, (lets thank the console toys for that) it still looks fantastic. See the new 3 minute story trailer below.

I recently played through Cult of the Lamb, a satirical take on the concept of running a demonic cult. It turns horrific things like sacrificial rituals, cannibalism and straight up gaslighting abuse into hilarious amusements by filtering everything through its cartoonish lens. You are a sheep, after all, and all your followers are sycophantic anthropomorphic […]

Hello, world! This post marks the moment in time and space when BangClickReload got a little redesign and was dragged kicking and screaming into the 21st century. Every post before this point is rather old and might not look right, and unless I decide to go through them all to fix them, they’re going to […]

    Mass Effect 3 – New E3 Trailer

The epic Mass Effect trilogy comes to a close early next year. I need to find time to replay through 1 and 2 in order to get my savefiles back and get the true experience, (I was one of the only people in the world to be relieved at the news of its delay). Until then, here’s a new trailer, which is all action and little story, but I appreciate the un-spoilery nature of it, compared to what they did during the buildup of Mass Effect 2…

    Review – L.A Noire

    LA Noire

It’s a thundering, rainy evening. I pull up to a crime scene with my partner, the tyres of the car squelching to a stop in the wet mud. I take a step out of the car and make my way past the reporters and flash photography, up to the cordoned off area to speak with the officer on duty about the situation. I’m given the details, and find myself right in the middle of a murder investigation. There’s a body, some footprints, and a variety of possible clues scattered around the area. A shocked witness sits nearby beneath an umbrella, ready for questioning. It’s time to get my hands dirty and solve another gruesome case. This is LA Noire.

Portal 2 – Stephen Merchant joins cast

    August 18, 2010

Portal 2 has been given a release date! February 9th 2011, apparantly. Watch it slip to at least Christmas 2013, once we approach that date, though. But that’s not all! If you’ve seen the videos a month or two ago, you’ll have seen Wheatley, a little spherical robot that accompanies you through some of the levels. He will now be played by Stephen Merchant, which is bloody brilliant. Don’t spoil the game by watching the footage below (is what I told myself before and while watching it).
