Well, there’s been scandal about spoilers and all kinds of rubbish to do with the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, and frankly I’ve done my best to avoid absolutely everything to do with it, because I’d prefer it to be kept spoiler-free thank-you-very-much. One thing I’ve been most pleased to finally see online, however, is the first gameplay trailer. There’s a handful of famous locations around the world, including New York City, the Eiffel Tower, and an exploding tube train in London! Oooooh… controversial!
I’ll admit I’m growing tired of the never ending CoD machine these days, but Modern Warfare has always been my favourite sub-division of the whole franchise, and I’ll happily pay full-price for the third (and hopefully final) installment of this series; especially if they throw in the co-op missions again – those were a blast!
I recently played through Cult of the Lamb, a satirical take on the concept of running a demonic cult. It turns horrific things like sacrificial rituals, cannibalism and straight up gaslighting abuse into hilarious amusements by filtering everything through its cartoonish lens. Hello, world! This post marks the moment in time and space when BangClickReload got a little redesign and was dragged kicking and screaming into the 21st century. Oh Em Gee! It’s finally coming! Planetside… TWO!! (No longer being referred to as Planetside Next) I played the original to death back when I was about 15, and I distinctly remember my dad had to cancel my subscription because I rarely did anything else, (even play other games). It was probably the best thing for me at the time, and looking back I escaped an incredibly addictive drug of gun-totin’, fighter-jet-flyin’, tank-drivin’, base-capturin’ awesomeness.
It’s only a few months now until Fallout New Vegas is released, and personally I just can’t wait! In great anticipation and as a huge fan of everything Fallout, I thought it could be fun to revisit my own story of how I found Fallout, and the path it has taken since the very first game by Black Isle Studios in 1997, right up to the brightly-lit release due out this Autumn.
