Here we are at number 3 in the top ten games of 2010, with Heavy Rain a definite fully deserved winner of this spot. No game has ever made us feel quite so connected to the story, with every action resulting in a consequence, often in the most unbelievable way, and where every emotion of every character can really have an effect on your decision making skills.

127 Hours is the ninth feature film by English director Danny Boyle and tells the shockingly true story of Aron Ralston who, while out climbing in Blue John Canyon of Utah, found himself trapped alone for over 5 days. He managed to escape, but it literally cost him an arm to survive. It’s a remarkable story, and has been crafted into a mesmerising film I’ll never forget.

The London Philharmonic Orchestra has recorded an entire album’s worth of video game music. It features music from the likes of Battlefield, Final Fantasy, even the Mario Brothers theme – all in fully orchestrated glory. If you have a Spotify account you can give it a listen here.
