There’s only one game I’m thinking of today, but we can’t have a ‘Cyborg Day’ without mentioning the game that preceded today’s big release over a decade ago. I say ‘precedes’, but technically Deus Ex: Human Revolution is set before JC Denton even existed. Alas, let us reminisce. It’s official; Minecraft is so popular that an entire convention all about Notch and Mojang’s cult success game has sprung up, and in Las Vegas, USA no less! Now I like Minecraft, but I certainly couldn’t afford to splash out on tickets to this quite yet. You couldn’t ask for a much cooler location to hold the event though, and if I have the money next year, I certainly wouldn’t mind attending.
Company of Heroes isn’t exactly a new game, but it keeps popping up in Steam sales and with the release of the beta version of CoH Online, we decided to revisit it. There’s been a few add-ons and expansions since the original game, and the newest, Tales of Valor, contains a tense co-op mission called Operation Stonewall, or as we dubbed it “defend the bastard buildings or whatever” and for the last two nights, that’s exactly what Paul and I have been playing…
