Primal Carnage Alpha Footage
Last night I dreamt I was in a dinosaur game, and it was awesome. No doubt, it was because I had seen this trailer for Primal Carnage earlier in the day. Being built by a small team in the Unreal Development Kit (UDK), it looks as though it shaping up to be bloody fantastic fun, and for once, this looks like it could be equally fun to play as either a dinosaur or a human. You have to see this.
Max Payne 3 – First In-Game Trailer
Remedy are out, and Rockstar are in. Old Max is out, and bald Max is in. The first gameplay footage of Max Payne 3 has been released, and you can see it below, along with some thoughts…
Holiday from Hell – Dead Island out this Week
Dead Island is out in the UK tomorrow. It was released in America a few days ago in what can only be described as a major balls-up whereby the developers unfinished test build was released for anyone who ordered it on Steam. Oops. Hopefully, the day one patch which came along shortly after has fixed all of those shenanigans and we’ll be able to play the game the way it was meant to be played. I was mostly curious to find out if it contained even a hint of the emotional heartbreak shown in that infamous trailer, but after the slew of hugely varied reviews, it certainly seems unlikely. The game does allow you to chop off zombie’s individual arms though.
‘The War Has Begun’ – New Mass Effect 3 Trailer
There’s an awesome trailer for Mass Effect 3 I’ve just seen in my emails that I somehow never saw before, so I’ve borrowed it and placed it right here for your viewing pleasure. Spoiler: there’s effing huge robots, and smashing frozen enemies with a holographic sword. If there wasn’t so much pure awesome due out in the remainder of this year, the wait for this could be bloody agonizing.
RAGE – Uprising Trailer
More information about Rage is slowly being drip-fed from Bethesda’s hype-machine of marketing videos. For starters, it turns out the world is in such a sorry state thanks to an uninvited meteor which decided to visit Earth and you are one of the lucky survivors who escaped death by sleeping through the disaster in stasis. You are one of very few ‘arc survivors’ and that apparantly makes you very valuable to the ‘authorities’ of this otherwise lawless place. The trailer below is chock full of story introduction and fun-looking gameplay.
The Walking Dead – Comic-Con Season 2 Trailer
We’re not all about the games here. The ‘stuff’ bit of our slogan keeps us covered when we feel like telling you about other entertaining things. Things like this. Comic-Con just happened, and along with vague news of Jurassic Park 4 from Spielberg himself (yes!), there’s also this fantastic trailer of season 2 of The Walking Dead. Frank Darabont’s adaptation was the best TV show of last year, and we’re eagerly waiting to see the story continue.

Re-remake – Goldeneye: Reloaded
The N64 classic has already been remade once in last years well-received Wii title, but now its getting the HD treatment in a remade remake. Built on a new engine to make good use of the 360 and PS3’s superior hardware, it should be the better version in the end. Admittedly, its difficult to get excited about this console-only shooter when your brain is eagerly awaiting a certain FPS threequel about battles on fields. My fond memories of 4-player splitscreen in my bedroom with 3 mates running around the Temple, License to Kill, Automatics and NO-ONES ALLOWED ODDJOB, will live on forever though.
Bioshock Infinite – Full E3 Demo Video
How bloody good does this look? There’s about a million years to wait for the new Bioshock game, but at least we know its looking beyond awesome. The full E3 demo which all the lucky gaming press got to see at the show itself is now available publicly. By the end of it, my jaw was firmly on the ground. Check it out below.
Deus Ex: Human Revolution gameplay
IGN have a new 12 minute preview video of Deus Ex 3 – I’ve posted it below, but I really don’t want to see too much of this game in action until I’ve got my hands on it, so I stopped watching after 3 minutes. With the first Deus Ex being one of the BEST GAMES EVER, its fair to say I’m rather hyped for this. There’s no way it could live up to the original…surely? People who’ve played it think it actually could…
Pixar’s Next Movie – Brave
Thank god it isn’t Cars 3. Pixar have rarely put a foot wrong but after John Lasseter became essentially the joint leader of both Disney and Pixar, I can’t help feeling he’s lost some of his magic touch… I found Cars to be a dull disappointment, and the sequel is getting terrible reviews but I have faith that they’ll return to form in their next film, which conveniently has a new teaser trailer out. Check out the first reveal of Brave below.
Halo 4 – Finish the Fight Again
Microsoft have announced a sequel to the quaint sci-fi adventure Halo. It should be a game where you shoot aliens and drive buggies, if previous entries in the reasonably popular series are anything to go by. It may also feature some multiplayer, which is nice if you enjoy that sort of thing. You’ll also learn the fate of that Master Chief fellow, too. Tedious trailer is below.
Prey 2 looks like Blade Runner meets Star Wars
I didn’t ever finish Prey, but I can say I liked the opening level. That was very good. There’s a trailer out for the sequel, and its going in a nice new direction to that of the first game. Bounty hunting aliens on a massive space station? Yes please. This looks like the love child of Blade Runner and Star Wars, set in the outer worldly goodness of something like Mass Effect. Interesting live-action/CGI mashup trailer is below.
