Minecraft – Halloween Update is out!
Possibly the biggest update to Minecraft yet, Notch has added a whole heap of new features to the game. With an entire new ‘hell’ zone, biomes which adds weather effects and new environments, as well as new multiplayer support, nows the perfect time to see what all the fuss is about if you haven’t already. Fallout: New Vegas – I has it!

Left 4 Dead Blowout News Hyper Special!
So much Left 4 Dead related shit right now! Firstly, the final part of The Sacrifice comic is out, and you can read it right here. Second, linked to that, The Sacrifice DLC is available today, and if you own either Left 4 Dead or L4D2, you can download it through Steam for free! Thirdly, Left 4 Dead 2 is now available on the Mac, and Valve have promised OSX support for the original L4D before Halloween arrives. And finally, to celebrate all of this, Valve have SLASHED (with a katana) the price of both games in one of their ridiculous sales – pick up either game for about a fiver, or get both for just under 8 quid. Deus Ex 3 – Gameplay Video
This trailer is already over a month old, so it’s only just still news (to people like me who somehow missed it, at least!) but if you’ve never heard of Deus Ex, you owe it to yourself to watch this gameplay trailer and be amazed at how bloody cool it looks.
Dead Space 2 – Multiplayer Beta Gameplay
Dead Space 2 currently appears to be set for an early 2011 release (to my dismay) and after hearing that it’s going to have a multiplayer side to it, we’ve been wondering how that could work in a single-player game that made such a huge impact in our survival horror part of our gaming lives. Apparently, one of the main multiplayer features (if not the only) of the game is a 4v4, objective-based struggle between humans and necromorphs and requires that the humans fight to complete a set of tasks, all the while defending against the mutant menace on the other team, who’s sole purpose is to stop them (see video below).

Sonic the Hedgehog 4 due out next month
Just look at that and tell me the little kid inside you isn’t excited! No, really do tell me. We need more comments. But anyway, Sonic the Hedgehog 4 (Episode 1, ugh, does this mean it’s gonna have 3 levels and then make us wait for Episode 2, 3, and the rest…) has a release date! And a new trailer. It’s looking remarkably like the original 2D classics that I grew up with, albeit with a nice 2010-sheen to everything. Click below for release date info and the newest trailer.

Alan Wake: The Writer – New DLC Trailer
The next instalment of Alan Wake’s tale is on its way, and there’s a new trailer for it below. After the relatively short (but free for most people who had bought the game) first bit of DLC, The Signal, I’m hoping this new one will be considerably longer and have a bit more to it, especially since it’s gonna cost 560 MS points. Left 4 Dead – The Sacrifice Comic Part 2
Forgot to mention this when part 1 was released, admittedly. Left 4 Dead is getting its own comic series which will bridge the gap between the end of the first game and the upcoming DLC The Sacrifice, which will be available for owners of either game. It contains some excellent artwork, but I thought the writing was a bit cheesy myself. Still, it’s worth checking out if you’re curious about the back-story of the characters and want a bit more meat added to the overall story.
